What “free for personal use” means

Everything above is the same software. There is no free edition and paid edition — there is one editor, and it is complete however you run it. Nothing is locked, nothing expires, and exports do not carry a watermark.

Personal use is free. Photos of your family, artwork you make for yourself, a personal blog or social account, schoolwork, hobby projects, and work for a registered charity or non-profit community group.

Commercial use needs a licence. Work you are paid for, work for an employer or a client, images that advertise or sell a product or service, and content that earns money. Licences start at $4.99 for 30 days, or $99.99 once.

We do not check. The software behaves identically whether or not a licence key is present, and it does not report on you. This is a licence condition and we rely on you to honour it. The full definition is in section 2 of the terms.

Questions

Is the free version limited in any way?
No. Every tool, every effect, every template, unlimited exports at full resolution, and no watermark. There is no trial clock and no daily cap.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no signup, no email required and nothing to verify. The download starts when you click.
Does it work offline?
Yes. The installed app and the Microsoft Store version both run with no connection. Fonts are the one thing fetched lazily: the installed app keeps each family after you have used it once. The downloadable copy carries all 82 up front.
What happens to my images?
Nothing leaves your computer. The editor runs entirely in your browser; there is no upload step and no server that sees your files.
If I buy a licence and it expires, do I lose the app?
No. Nothing is removed, no feature is switched off and exports stay clean. It simply goes back to being free for personal use — the only thing that ends is permission to use it commercially.
